Our mission is to promote and develop high quality research projects while providing professional regulatory oversight and assuring protection of all research subjects. The Protocol Section of the Department of Clinical Investigation (DCI) oversees research protocol development, approval and execution at WBAMC. We help our investigators navigate the entire clinical research process from research idea to protocol development and approval, to grant support and to final publication of research findings. The protocol staff interacts with and assists WBAMC investigators with submissions requirements, conducts administrative pre-review of submissions to ensure completeness, prepare the protocols for IRB review, ensures implementation and appropriate use of IRBNet, tracks and maintains record of WBAMC research protocols in accordance with applicable regulations.
