On 25 March 2009 the Annual Red Cross volunteer recognition was held at the Centenial Club. The guest speaker was COL Karen Gausman. National award winners are:

  • Mary Hetz for the Leadership Award
  • Dina Whitehouse for the Services to the Armed Forces Award
  • Ingrid Moore for the Volunteer of the Year Award
  • Elizabeth Toth for 50 Years of Service
