Dental Assistant Training Program
This is an intensive training program provided at no cost to ID card holders who are at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED by the American Red Cross in partnership with US Army Dental Activity (DENTAC). It is offered only once a year with registration for a pre-program orientation in late summer, and is subject to the availability of DENTAC personnel.
The course includes classroom and chair-side training and requires a commitment of approximately eight months Monday through Friday. Detailed information on course requirements and the application process are provided at the pre-program orientation.
The program provides each student with quality training and skills, however it is not an accreditation program. Applicants who are accepted will be American Red Cross volunteers for the duration of the program and will complete the standard Red Cross and WBAMC in-process requirements as part of the program.
