Nuclear Medicine
The Nuclear Medicine Service provides comprehensive imaging and therapeutic procedures involving the use of radioisotope materials for the evaluation or treatment of multiple organ systems. The Nuclear Medicine Service also provides bone density studies for the evaluation of osteoporosis. Consultative assistance is available to the clinic at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, to the Soldier and Family Medical Clinc (SFMC) at Ft. Bliss, to Holloman AFB near Alamogordo, New Mexico, McAfee Health Clinic at White Sands Missile Range in Southern New Mexico, and other MTF's within the TRICARE Central region. Emergency procedures are available on consultation with the Nuclear Medicine staff physicians.
Appointments are by referral. Patients are requested to come to the clinic in person to make appointments in order to receive the appropriate procedure instructions.
